Warning: This post contains nothing but ranting, incoherent thoughts, and randomness! Sorry for any confusion. 
So my friend flew to Phoenix and asked me to come and hang with him. I'm broke and out of a job so of course I went.
I left at like 11 at night and took 93 to carefree highway on to the 17. I got to see alot of Arizona, and well I would just like to clear some things up.
A. We are now in the 21 century. Major highways should be at least 4 lane. Going 85 on a two lane... little scary.
B. I all most hit something on carefree highway, any one care to make a guess? you will never get it..... yep I all most hit a DONKEY!!!! How the hell do they survive in Arizona, are they sucking water out of tumble weeds or something.
C. Why is ever one landscaping their yards in rocks. The whole state is covered in them, yet you guys pay to bring in more. Get a box drive down the street, fill the box, dump the box in your yard, and spread them around with a rake. There I have just saved you at least a hundred dollars.
D. We need to kill all jumping cactus. Those things are evil, and a plant shouldn't be able to attack. It killed my umbrella, and I really like that umbrella.
E. Apparently asking for directions to a book store is like asking a toddler to do algebra. Expect the the toddler won't act like it knows. I spent three hours and ask six different people, just to find a Barnes and Noble.
F. Whats with the giant washes? Are we expecting Noah's flood? I've been here for a monsoon season, it rain like 3 days. Yet we have washes the size of the feather river. Did some one forget to tell me something.
Other then that we had a blast!

c. The desert landscaping makes no sense. We live in a desert at the best custom landscaping we can come up with is more rocks. haha. d. What's a jumping cactus and how'd it kill your umbrella? e. sadly. this doesn't surprise me at all. |

Yep Kingman, most people have driven through it, no one remembers it.
A jumping cactus is small plant covered in small spikey balls that will cling to you if you even get near them. It killed my umbrella because we didn't actually believe they would jump (we were wrong) so we poked it with my umbrella and then accidentally it unfolded, slamming into the plant. I gave up trying to get them out of the umbrella, but I'm still fighting the war with the back seat of my truck. I really loved that umbrella... it was tye dye  |
