Now i know why i didnt go to CBV
this will be my third blog and.. im at a lack of words.
ive always believed that there are no coincidences and that things happen for a reason. and when i found out i couldnt go to CBV i was upset.. who wouldnt be? but like i said in my last post, with the impending party an hour away i was getting worse.
my grandmother is 93 and if i dont think ive told you about her. shes intelligent and more active than most of the people in my family. the goes up and down 3 flights of stairs a day, does the laundry, beds, and shes a hairdresser (partially retired ) she still does her friends hair though. she's strong and very strong headed someti=mes to the point of stubborness, but we love her.
last night.. just after the pops at 11.00 she woke up and her hand was numb. shed been sleeping on it so we didnt think much of it. she went tot he bathroom and a min latermy sister and i got worried. i went to check on her and she could barely speek. i knew what it was and i didnt want to admit it, but i called the others and we ended up at lowell general. she threw a clot, left frontal. it could have been worse, second day, she has her faculties and her CTs clear, but she cant mover her right arm from the elbow down, and her speech has slurred. on the lucky side, its looks like its only motor and not sensory, but her sppech has worsend. which could have been caused by her lack of sleep. shes been up since 5am friday. right now we just have to wait and see. still not sure if its evolving or not. we know shes gonna be ok with some PT/OT but its hard to see her like this. my sister isnt dong well, nor my mother, and if i didnt have u guys im not sure id be doing much better.. thanks.
UPDATE
well, things are getting back to normal, and im glad to say that she's home and we have to keep an eye on her, not so much that she needs help, but that she just might try to sneak off to do some ironing. lol. her speach is better and still improving and eveen her arm is recovering well. its still tough, but getting better.
