hey guys, so i live in denver, co and it seems that the raves this year are just going down hill. everyone is just throwing them for the money or to be "cool". no one out here is doing it for the love anymore it seems like. ive been wanting to throw my own for quite sometime and bring it back to the way that they were before. but i have no idea where to start. i dont know if i need certain permits or anything else. the crews out here that throw raves are really no help. cause like a said before they do it for the money and they dont want anyone else coming up and doing it better or whatever. so i was hoping that maybe someone out here would know anything that could help me out. like how to get all the equipment getting the dj's the permits if there are any. or just whatever you have to offer that would be great. thanks guys

wow, well i was in denver for about 4-6 months last winter, and saw the same thing as far as the djs nad groups being no help. seems most of them were not nice nad had an ego, "wont want to let noobies come in denver and start running the show hmmm. " is all i got out of looking for it. but once i chilled and went out a few times. i seen there is an underground sceene but there is a raverforce in denver, and its killign the sceen. there are politicians tryign to get votes and this year is anot a good year for denver. parties getting shutdown, even when legit,,, ive seen it.
all i can say is yes you will need permits for fire safety, nad youll have to hire security, and pay fines and dues to denver. unless you are a promoter trying to get into a mainstream venue, like a club. they have all that setup. but for your own parties i say save your money, unless you got tons to throw away and a bunch of friends that will at least personally appreciate what you did, cause you wont get from the locals. imo. unless you know people... thas different. you can try to get with a venue, workign with them. or a promoter, go on unnet.net and dont be all shy, they do bash there.... but there is tons of info going through that board. adn youll have lots to catch up to... imo. its fast, and theres good people there, but you kinda gotta be found, rather than find them. ya know? i know someone that may be willing to talk to you, i can introduce you two over the net, via myspace. and get you two to meet or chat and talk or something. i had so much fun in denver, although im harsh and i get out, i dont take shit and i give it back... i did get some frowns but after a bit i got some handshakes,, and invites. denver is one of the best places ive been too. when its hott it hott. this is mostly prejiduce, though i havent lived in denver for long. and im no there now. but i may return this winter. i d k. check out unnet.net triad dragons and a venue called cervante's its downtown this is more underground the church, vinyl funky boota lounge and beta all bring in headliners, its mostly mainstream, vinyl the club,,, has a bassment and they do have good dubstep and dnb there on weekly basis. http://forums.unnet.net/index.php? hope this helps, you can pm me for more info about my friend, the only friend i made in denver... hes a good dude and will be helpful so let me know. plur |
