As the stars fall, my tears follow
The title already seems pretty blegh right? I'm an emotional guy, so things effect me harder than it would normally..this one happened knock me pretty hard.
Well I know not really anybody reads these in this wonderful community, but I still feel like posting something to get it the hell out of my head..
As most know, there is always a meteor shower that occurs every august twelfth (And something most people don't know about me is that I love things that happen in space..novas, stars, meteor showers...I love rare sights too, such as witnessing a meteor fall in the sky (Shooting stars)
Well this as been the first one I have ever been able to experiance..EVER. I mean I did try once earlyer way back in the day, but I didn't get to see any shooting stars. So this specific night was the most special thing in my life (at the time) This day has already been great (Excluding drivers ed..)..I got to hang out with my sisters and their brother at the mall..I love them dearly, but their brother not so much, although he is okay to talk to about video games.
Anyways, got off track, but I really think that cosmic events such as this shouldn't really be spent alone..I picture myself at every meteor shower or eclipse sitting on a roof with one of my close friends..just sitting and talking and staring up at the sky..That there is one of my top ten perfect things to do..I love stuff like that..and I don't like it to be silent..it's an awesome moment..you can't stand there without saying something lol.
Well..So much for that.
I sat down. On this plastic bench at my house, just standing there..watching the stars fall. it was a pretty sight, but it was beating me to no end since I was alone and in complete silence. The perfect night, down the drain. I certainly hope many of you others really enjoyed it with people you loved..cause trust me..space is an amazing thing.
I even wrote a poem. It took me as long as it took for me to type up a text message to a friend...it's pretty blegh. but for the time it was made..man it's a freaking masterpiece.
Here it goes:
I wish the world would shed it's light for tonight so that I may see what is true. I'm left sitting here, blue. For the light takes away so much...I want the world to shed it's light to expose the true beautys of night.
Well there it is..all my feelings..it really helps to blog sometimes..anyways..that's the end of it.

i think the poem is awesome! and if after reading this blog, its like you are inside my head. but noone know what i really love or enjoy, but one person. and they arent here with me. so i get sad, but i know space is something amazing, and i share your love for the once in a lifetime sightings, even if you see a hundred stars falling, each one is special.
being homelss, the first week here in fargo, i was sleeping on the bed cover of my truck, and i counted so many shooting stars, and satalites. its amazing whats out there.. huh? |
