This is a discussion on Tracing Tutorial? within the Glowsticking Tutorials forums, part of the Glowsticking discussion category: Is it possible to get a tutorial to mimic the tracing move used in this vid from about 47 seconds ...
its really just practice, the only thing you can do at this point is try doing it 1 step at a time and break it down...
do the traces while "pretending to spin" just doing the movement. then once you have the traces down so you can do them with your eyes closed, add the spinning.
try it as slow as you can first to help teach you muscles. once you have that down your good to go!
that kind of trace is an easy concept, just requires some time and energy. GL.
lets say you wrap your left hand string <u><b>over</b></u> your right arm,
it wraps around and then you pull and it unwraps and your swinging again.
basic wrap right?
well as soon as it wraps <u><b>over</u></b> your arm, keep your left hand going down (like your going to punch somebody under your right arm with your left hand) and then it should unwind itself.

I never understood what this whole jumble is -- <u><b>over</u></b> -- i've seen it a few times... can you explain that to me ?

Thane...I'm pretty sure he was meaning to have it underlined and bold text.
Apparently the coding doesn't work like that. That's how I understood it anyway.
