GenXGlow.com 1 year anniversary performance video!!

first off, thanks to Captain Planet for sparking the idea!!

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS!! I DON'T WANT TO TURN ANYONE AWAY BUT HAVE IN FACT ALREADY HAD TO REJECT SUBMISSIONS.. I'M NOT ASKING MUCH..


here's the deal...
this is our first sitewide performance video, intended for release on May 5th, our 1 year anniversary!!.. we want you, dear members, to submit a short video of you at your very best.. so....

who can contribute?? everyone!! beginner to advanced..
what r we looking 4?? brilliant lightshows, killer dance moves, fresh tracks..
when do we need it? deadline is 4/20..


General Rules of Participation:
**-- this needs to be NEW!! and UNRELEASED/UNPOSTED!! NO TAGS or LOGOS!! that means no youtube or myspace or anything like that.. this is EXCLUSIVE CONTENT.. ok??
-- this is not practice!! we need your absolute best!! don't be concerned about how many moves you know/how long you've been practicing, do what you know how to do and do it well!!
-- you must have adequate lighting so that you can b seen!! this is your showcase, if we cant see you, what's the point??
-- maximum clip length is 1 minute.. **ok, if u need to send something bigger than do it and we'll cut it down..
-- format: we should be able to handle whatever you got..
-- video quality as high as you can get it.. we can't take anything choppy cuz it just won't flow ya know?? beg/borrow/rent/whatever a decent camera for this..
-- a tripod or a friend with a steady hand would be a good thing..
-- we want a 3/4-full body shot.. want 2 see you move!!
-- if you have a gxg shirt, rock it baby!! if you don't, get one and rock it baby!!

lightshows:
-- fresh sticks!! (ultras would be sweet but not required..) fresh batteries in your flowpoi/led's/ photons, whatever.. we need a viable light source that can be seen over your ambient lighting.. if you're using poi that doesn't generate it's own light u need to find a way to light it.. or go outside i suppose.. point is we need to see what you're spinning AND you!!

dancers:
-- it would be seriously helpful if you could give bpm for whatever track you're dancing to.. or at least include the track so we can match things up.. other than that do your thing..

dj's/producers: *EDIT*
-- if you would like to submit video of yourself spinning that would be great!!
-- these can be longer than one minute.. we may only use a clip from the vid but we just might steal the track!!
-- if you would like to submit a fresh track for the video that would be great!!
-- track length is obvioulsy variable.. send what ya got..
-- style?? i'm thinking trance, hardstyle, hardcore, dnb but those ar my biases and it's really wide open at this point..

this is something i hope to do annually or semi-annually, and hope to improve the process as we go, so feel free to leave ideas/suggestions.. if you have further comments or questions feel free to shoot me an email or a pm..

im down i will order some ultras or high intensities hell might just use my fire poi but will deffinatly be submitting something actually the lil one minute time limit is right up my alleyway

sweet, I have a fresh box of glowsticks that are going to be here by tomorrow, so i'll have white ultras... mmmmm, white ultras

I hope the snow stops and it melts soon so I can do a burn with my 3.5" monkey fists of fury for the video!! I've been ready to burn with them again for months!!! Fuck winter! But when the time comes, I'm up to the challenge.

i need to make some videos, I need to get my friend to edit them and ill make like 10 in 1 day. yay!

Hell Yeah! im up for it, but my general flowing/occasion a head trace/ figure 8 style aint gonna cut it, il learn a few tricks and see what I can do

White ultras?!?! I haven't used any yet! I'll trade you some at Clockwork Green! I got green and orange and red! (The reds don't seem ultra, but they're brighter then other reds, and they're pretty cool)


Oh, and expect footage from me! =D

freaking jerks sent me regular 8 hour whites!!!!!! oh well, white is still pretty bright and cool. i had blue ultras before, they weren't very ultra at all really, they were just as bright as a normal green .

and why can't we expect footage!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

if ur gonna teach english u should learn 2 read lol!! silly thane.. it said we CAN expect footage.. and i do.. from alla yous!!
