Really? Deadmau5 always whines about how much he hates DJs and how he's not a DJ, lol.
So as some of ya know one of last years top selling games was DJHERO from activision. No surpirse there releasing a part 2. Seems there was a press release earlier confiming that DeadMau5 is gonna have a hand in this one and youll be able to use him as ur DJ character (probably similir to Tom Morello in Guitar Hero)
Anywho heres some more info. nothing too specific yet...click on "SHOW PRESSRELEASE" for more details.
DJ Hero 2 brings two turntables and a microphone this Fall (update: now available to pre-order) -- Engadget
Just hope they have a little more EDM in this version and a little less top 40 =/ but thats just my opinion.

LOL I remember when I heard on the radio a couple days ago that the DJs called Deadmau5 "DJ Deadmau5". I was like "Oh LAWL, Deadmau5 woulda been pissed off if he heard that!"
Very true!
Joel Zimmerman doesn’t like being called a DJ. The 28-year-old dance music phenomenon from Toronto, better known as Deadmau5, rolls his eyes a the description, which he sees as a hopelessly outdated way of describing what he does. His sets are closer to live performances. He plays mostly his own material, assembling tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he’s helped write himself. “There are no CDs involved,” he explains. “It’s a technological orgy up there and I try and keep it more my music than anyone else’s. If people come out to see Deadmau5 I want them to hear Deadmau5 music.”
Oh well...Im sure he has his reasons for participating in this project. (hopefully reasons other then just money)
Im hopping he's gonna try to steer the game in a slightly diffrent direction. David Guetta had some influence in part one...but there is a VERY big diffrnece between Guetta and Deadmau5.
Yeah I know that :P
He's a bit of a dick though...some of those quotes about how he hates DJs..lolz.
I dont think its a matter of him hating DJ's, its more a matter of him not like'n that title for himself. I mean isnt there a diffrence between a music producer and a DJ? Might come off like a dick tword DJs...but I think its more like hes trying to tell em to bring up to the next level. I know what statements your talking about:
DJ/Producer Deadmau5' Public Statement About DJs : "They're F**cking C**ts" | trainspottr
Maybe the way he expressed himself isnt cool, or nice...but there is some truth to what hes saying. Lets face it its not like the old days where you had two turntables and a Mic, and you were spinning and mixing live (cant even remeber the last time I heard real scratching) =/. Ive bin to alot of clubs and partys where the "DJ" really is just tieng one song on at the end of another.
But Deadmau5 performs on the top of the top. There's almost absolutely no way that he's met amazing DJs..
Again, there will always be shit wannabe DJs, it's been that way since the very beginning..
Also, he mixes music together, uses effects, etc..aren't those all things that DJs do? IMO, he's being a whiny brat..
Eh.. I dunno about the whole Dj vs producer bit. You guys know a lot more about Deadmau5 than I seem to. But anyway, I feel like even if this new "EDM version" will still be like... kind of mainstream EDM you know? Like David Guetta and stuff. Not that David Guetta is bad or anything, but I have a feeling its all gonna be sticking to those types of peeps.
Oh no, of course it will be. Deadmau5 is becoming more mainstream.
It's not really gonna have any more EDM.
