Once again we invite you to join us one last time as we celebrate the largest and longest running festival of its kind in Canada, The World Electronic Music Festival. As with everything in life, change is constant and WEMF is not immune. The “3-Day” has become a right of passage for generations of electronic music fans and this year it both celebrates its 14th year and its final year in its present form. As always, WEMF will bring you everything you need for an absolutely amazing weekend. With a rich variety of music and art from around the world, WEMF is an experience that is unique and enduring for all those that have made it part of their lives. We encourage you to allow this experience to become part of your life before its too late!
In 2008 we are bringing back the classic WEMF format with a completely outdoor experience, literally in the middle of nowhere! Lose yourself in a vibrant mixture of sound and nature where your mind can rush to the beat of the drum and the glow of the moon. Camping, dancing, enjoying the company of friends and the music that brings us all together is what you will experience when you join our family.
History is about to be made one more time – don’t miss this life changing experience for anything!




WEMF2008 will be located on a beautiful piece of Ontario farmland in a town called Madawaska. See map.
Driving directions will be made available online, one week prior to the event.

RENEGADE STAGES

One of the things that makes the WEMF experience unique is the variety of DIY stages setup throughout the venue. Anyone can set up their own stage but you must provide your own gear and djs. All renegade sound systems must pay an electrical hook up fee (vending fee) or provide your own generator with a safe sound buffer for fellow campers.
NEW FOR 2008 - Register you renegade stage and we will post your lineup and set times on WEMF.com and the official program guide that is handed out to all patrons upon entry into WEMF. Registration fee is $100 and does not include power.Please note that WEMF reserves the right to turn down or shut off any renegade stage. Stay tuned to WEMF.com or the Destiny Community forum for all the rules and regulations around setup and noise allowances.

Sweet man. Financially though, I'm not sure if this is possible for me. I'm trying my best and I may borrow money from my sister. I'm going to see what she has to say because she might even want to come. I'll let you know though, because I'd be willing to meet up with anyone! =)

Can't waaaaiiittt. So psyched for this. I missed DEMF this year because of dumb reasons... but I'm definately going to WEMF. Can't even express how excited I amm! Hahah
