Good question, and this came up last time we gave out tShirts as prizes. In short, no. The Hat award is positioned as a 'Thank You' for your financial support.

BUT, you can still get the hat award by purchasing a sexy GXG Beanie. Def worth it, so you can replace that old gangsta one. You would also get the donation award.

I dont want to be mean, but honestly, both mixes gave me a headache, it wasnt the mixing, it was the song in general that you had to work around... Any DJ who can make that song good... deserve millions...

If I had to choose one it would be Ablist, Waldos beat gave me a headache... but Ablists was slightly addicting while it was giving me a headache.

I think next time theres a contest like this, there should be no song requirement it should be pure beatmixing so this doesnt happen again... maybe its just me because I do get migraines daily...

Just to clarify a few points. Actually, the community voted on that song. And the reason we had a song in the first place was to ensure that all the DJ's had an equal starting point and that the judging wasn't based more on song choice than DJing abilities.

yea if it was just "make any song" then you couldn't really judge as fairly because you may like one song more than the other.

i'm damn proud i was able to make a breaks track to fool anybody at all, i've been doing nothing but DnB/jungle since like 99.
