As a group leader, I've noticed theres been a lack of activity in the Official Meet Up Groups... and groups in general! I didn't find any official posts about meet up groups so I'm making one now.

You can find a list of all the available groups here.

As for the meet up groups:

The Official Northeast Group Meetup Please join if you're a member living in the Northeast United states.

The Official Southeast Group Meetup Please join if you're a member living in the Southeast United States.

The Official North Central Group Meetup Please join if you're a member living in: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, or Michigan.

The Official South Central Group Meetup Please join if you're member living in:Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Missouri, or Mississippi.

Official Mountain Central Group Meetup Please join if you're a member living in: Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming.

Official Northwest Group Meetup Please join if you're a member living in the Northwest United States.

Official Southwest Group Meetup Please join if you're a member living in the Northwest United States.


I've seen a lot of talk on the forums about how cool it would be to have a GenXGlow meetup. I agree, it'd be absolutely wicked! However, theres only so much that can be done by group leaders without participation from YOU! So please, be active in your groups and if you're not in one that corresponds to your area, join one!

The more active you are and the more you help out the group leaders, the faster you can meet everyone in your area!

thanks for posting the states for official meetup groups, rick. I think it'll help people find the appropriate group so that they can be mroe involved. I know that tehre are several of us (myself included) that are in transit right now - is it kosher for us to be affiliated with/involved in more than one regional meetup group?

i agree. we could get more input, opinions, facts, and participation from our members. we can only do so much. im not even a leader.... and i accept the resposibilities as i think they may be, to get out there, just and only cause i love the music dance and art. and i want to see others smile. adn walk away like wow, that was great. whatever it was, either the people, music or everything.

throwin parties or events, and getting involved, its well, coslty. and we all loose out on something.... either money, time or sleep, or alot... some more than others. but thats love... sacrifice for gain.

we can do better, we can post more often. we can make sub chapters..... for local regions within the groups.... and we can organize. i belive in us. and i see potential.... genxglow.... we have what it takes.

and we are beautiful! we need to stand for ourselves and what we believe in. we dont do much wrong.... like murder or robbery,,, we gather people to share and celebrate life.... we dance and sing.... WE ARE ALIVE!!!!

Well I'm glad someone agrees with me! One thing, Sara... CALL ME RICKY! I'm a kid at heart =D and I like the name better. You know, this might be the first time I've yelled at someone (not that I meant to yell!) for calling me rick. It just makes me feel old. You can call me if it you want, just not rich. Not now, not ever not any time you ever see me.

Anyway, back to the groups... GET INVOLVED!!! I know these groups can help get this into a reality instead of just a dream.

i tried my hardest to get somethin together wit us dance but i guess no dice. its cause no one wanted to get in it. me and skyscraper were really lookin forward but got shut down.

can we make an offical myspace... or something for each of the groups.... put them on your myspace home page as the top top... and then share that myspace with the current Leader...

As for being active in several groups, Sarah.....I say go for it. I'm a part of north and south-central.....cause I live in north-central, and I'm soon to be living in south-central. So be involved wherever you are!!

And Kythos, I think it'd be a little better to keep all our discussions on THIS site....rather than outsourcing. Not like we don't have ample space to post/discuss....there's really no reason to send people elsewhere.
