HEY Party Kids, Candy Kids, Ravers, PLUR People, Spinners, DJ's and anyone else I didn't cover!!!! As you might or might not know I found out that there is going to be 2 HUGE Parties that my first House Party which would have been known as Plur on the 4th will not be able to compete with... YET... BUT I have something really big in the works something that might just put Greenville back on the damn map in a way I was hoping. Only thing is I am being met with some resistance some people say it won't work some do, so think why try, Greenville will never be the next Miami (Ultra) Amsterdam (Sensation) (if you don't know Sensation go to youtube and type Sensation Black Megamix 2007 or Sensation White Megamix 2007) Let's prove them wrong people!!!! That is why I am asking for your help!!! Tell me what you think!!! That's right someone that is going to throw some parties/get togethers/festivals/or whatever you want to call them of the collective talents of Tech is asking for YOUR input... HOW THE HELL ELSE would this ever succeed? Should we charge a cover? What should it be? What kind of music should be played? Private or not? Should water be provided? What themes do you think would make a KICK ASS Party? How many days is too many days to have it go? Should it be 24/7 for those days or should we have a break? In other words people if this was your show, you made the call, you made the rules, you had FULL REIGN of everything that happened what would do?!?!?!? You can call it private all you want but if this is as huge as I'm getting the impression it is, and it is private then there WILL BE ppl that will show up uninvited..... Guests will bring other guests... and if you won't let certain peeps in that will only cause trouble(i USED TO THROW HELLA KEG PARTIES IN MY FATHERS FIELDS UNTIL HE SOLD THE LAND B/C OF ME WHOOPS) I prefer EDM and I think most ppl here do.... It's your party though just make sure not to misinform or mislead bc Im sure people will be drivin pretty far for this!! I dont know what the laws are in SC but you are definately going to need some permits. Around here you canget a noise violation after 11 w/o a permit (and they are hard to come by, plus OUR cops will be sure they are there) security is a BIG issue. you are going to need some steroid jacked mofos LOL to keep ppl under control.... are you worried about weapons? (This can always be an issue ) maybe a metal detector??? your prob going to need a "first aid station" either formal or informal.... some trained ems/ nurse/ medical professionals to handle ANY injury, overdose, etc.. You HAVE TO PREPARE FOR THE WORST> When I think of more I'll get back at ya!!! These are some of the reasons I havent thrown any PARTIES YET>>>> I have a HUGE YARD and a decent sized house.....but it's just too many liabilities for me

Thank you so much for the input... BUT no this isn't my party... this is OUR party... like I said Raver's and Partier's unite... I am currently looking into all prices of security, noise statutes, ems, first aid and other things that will be needed... security is a MUST and every one will be patted down for weapon concealment no matter WHO YOU ARE or WHO YOU KNOW!!! I use to bounce at a very, very thugish (pardon the term) club in the middle of Cleveland, OH... I will be incharge of security... eyes everywhere... behind you before you know it... my nickname wasn't Rabbit in Cleveland for no reason :-) please though keep the input COMING!!!!!!!

throwing something that big is gonna be a lot of work. i wish you the best of luck. there are a lot of legalities and permits and what not. i think alex just left for his trip, he could help you a lot. full support though. look for sponsors and it will help. sorry i cant be of any more real assistance. do it to it. Ultra was a blast and if you are looking to be in that league then more power to ya.

Something of this magnitude really worries me if it is done at a private residence. I could really see it working out better on private LAND in the middle of nowhere, however, there is still a lot of red tape to clear up. House parties usually should have a max of 50 peeps unless there is a mansion you are throwing it in. Expect noise complaints and possibly cops. You really need to be pretty low-key to make something like this happen unless it is far from civilization. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the message means a lot to me and everyone that is in this with me we will make everyone proud I promise and give my word! We have a couple sponsors already in the works too... and believe me even with the comment you sent me you are being more assistance then people that are just sitting around and not doing anything... LOL!

Thank you for the input... we actually are starting out smaller at a house but the house is BIG!!! and it will be a collaboration of a bunch of different aspects... then when the money starts to get in with more sponsors and more supporters we will then start expanding...

so when r u gonna disclose some of the in the works details. that would help us help you. like where r u planning on having this little shin dig. i agree that outdoors in BFE is your best bet unless you can book a venue spot, which can get complicated and lots of paperwork, permits and what not. if you r doing it at a residence then hope you are prepared to have your house turned upside down. i think there are fire codes to the number of people you can in a closed area too.

i think this should be saught out as if it were at a club.

water, security, cover charge, and EDM. good thinking about getting trained ems/nurses.. but you gotta think of gettin them and the money needed to get them.. i mean clubs have GREAT parties without ems or nurses ya dig? maybe find a venue.. or someone who knows someone who owns a WAREHOUSE or a pretty decent sized storage building. houses are good but you gotta think.. even tho everyone lives by PLUR.. theres still that little rat in the crowd whos gonna do wrong.. (steal shit, fuck shit up, etc.). if you plan it to be as big as you put out.. i strongly suggest not doin it in a house.. UNLESS you take the time to move out furniture and belongings.

as far as permits you gonna need em lol. and it wouldnt hurt to have a fire marshall come out to where ever its being held so he can determine person capacity. thats one thing that will get this party shut down EASY!

if this will be at a house, movement between rooms may become an issue. Their is nothing more irritating than being stuck in one place because you cant move anywhere. As for music i would consider EDM like stated above and maybe throw in a few tracks of urban anthems for the crowd that might not like EDM. If you would like to make some money and maybe have people come i always had an idea to have a raffle at an event. Its a good way to have people stay for the event becsue of prizes.
