I'm pretty iffy about the idea of discussing drugs simply because of the mega-huge stereotype people put on us. I don't do drugs simply because I don't feel the need to alter the experience I have at a rave to have a ton of fun.

anyone who has attended large scale events can testify that there are people who go JUST for the drug abuse. I feel that GXG and the members of GXG are not those people. We obviously put time and effort into stringing/freehand/dancing/DJing, even people who just love to read and post, because we obviously are not just there for the drugs, we are there for what we get out of it.

feel free to voice your opinion, but remain responsible and respect the opinions of others.

there are very great sites out there that focus on drug and drug use, if thats what your looking for please use other sites.

Not only should these things be done on the GXG forums, but in all aspects of life. When people hear of other people talk about drugs, a lot of the time they get labeled as druggies. And that, my friends, is never a good thing.

Ok, here's my opinion on this whole thing. No, we should not be able to talk about drugs on this or any site in a public form. But I think people just get so comfortable with how nice the people are on this site that they almost forget what they are doing. I am just now realizing that I have typed hints around use in some things, and I feel bad about it. The risk is just too high. Literally all it would take is the frickin' cops to take a look at the public forum and see what's goin' on. Especially for what the rave culture is labeled in the public's eye for using. Is it really worth getting busted because you wanted to talk about how messed up you get/got? Anyone that does do X or any other "rave" drug knows that the consequences can be severe. I've heard of people getting Attempted Intentional Manslaughter for getting caught with enough, which is a heavy sentence. Most ravers wouldn't last 3 days in prison like that. It is not the place for PLUR. The problem lies in this: Can we really say that we stand by the definition of PLUR if we kick someone off this site for advocating drug use? That's tough. I myself am a recovering heroin addict and I do use other things once in a while. The one thing I can agree with, though, is that it should NOT be talked about in public forums. I totally hear what each and every one of you have said, and there is very good points. My suggestion, and now I'm like border-line stupid with computers and idk if you can do this or not, but could GxG put some type of program that would not allow certain words to be posted, such as Ecstasy, Heroin, Cocaine, etc.? I don't know if this is even possible, but it's a thought. And that could be a "positive censorship", even though I do believe in freedom of speech. You've just gotta ask yourself if it's worth it. <---- this is my favorite!!

Don't be like "oh hey man, I totally got these, who wants some???" or "who can hook me up with some green whatevers?". Because that's bad.

But being like "I totally had a serotonin space cadet brain craziness that night" really isn't that bad.

just wanted to clarify a couple things.

Overall i think we do a good job. the main issue, as I understand it, would be buying and selling illegal substances. We do not participate in any of those activities on this site and I know most members would appreciate not having to deal it.

that was fantasticly said jared! i also support the use of drugs and i believe there's a difference between USING drugs and ABUSING drugs! if people just used them and studied what there doin before they just go and drop ten hits of one of the most powerful mind altering substances (in my opinion) on the earth then we would not have as big of a problem with the police and people having the idea that all people who use drugs abuse them and are druggies. In my opinion there deffinetly is a difference! Please for everyone dont abuse drugs!

eman6669~ i appreciate ur thoughts and u sharing some of ur history with us.. and while i understand where u'r coming from, we will not censor or block specific language.. the reason being is that we support sharing of information, experience, and knowledge, and we cannot effectively help anyone make a responsible, informed decision without proper discusssion..

it is absolutley 100% worth it.. leave soft language 2 the govt. and the fucking pta.. if anyone has any questions about ANYTHING, this is a place where u can ask.. and if u r unsure or nervous about asking publicly, PM ME!! i will answer any question within my knowledge, and if i can't answer, i will direct u 2 someone who can..

I have to say that this is very well said Jareblue.

Although I don't use drugs (anymore) I don't disagree with anyone else doing it and I don't look down on it either. For me, back in the day, is was an experimental thing.
