I don't really suggest getting that product as it only plays H.264 and MPEG-4 video files.. which means you'll have to convert most of your movie files before putting them on it, and with only 2 GB, whenever you add a movie, expect at least 1/3 of your memory to be gone. You simply won't have enough room to put more than 2-3 movies on it, and it's going to be a pain to add/remove them every time.

On the other hand, if its mostly for music, I know someone who has it, and it works just fine. With 2GB you have plenty for music..

Either way, what Eric said.

And yea, Limewire would work as long as the audio is one of these file formats :
WMA, AAC, PCM, MP3, protected WMA (DRM 10)

Thank u for letting me know about this product. I have $105.00 worth of amazon.com gift certificates, do u have a suggestion on a different video mp3 player in this price range?

Unfortunately, I have no idea what other products in that price range would be good. I use my cellphone - it only has 1GB, but its way enough for music, and it's pretty fast to add/remove songs when I get bored of them.

I simply think that unless someone would pay lots of money (like 300, which would be a TOTAL waste) on a portable video player, they're not going to get something they'd enjoy watching. Just imagine.. watching a whole 2 hour movie on a 2 inch wide screen.. it would be totally annoying.. Even if you had an expensive one with a bigger screen, you're not REALLY going to watch movies everywhere you go..

Examples of really expensive ones would be this : http://reviews.cnet.com/4370-6490_7-234-106.html

But yeah, it's not really worth it to go for video.. maybe getting a portable dvd player would be a good option if you really want video. Other than that, the sony one you wanted would be good for music. Check out this link from the amazon website, it has all the media & mp3 players you could pick from:

you can also check out the PC magazine website just for an idea of what's actually out there...they tend to have really good tech reviews if you don't mind wading through a lot of dense tech material.
