Recently a club on my area (Charlotte's Velocity) stopped permitting glowsticks and lights! This isn't the only club that doesn't allow such items. I was thinking we, as a forum group, could unit and pettition these clubs simply by sending them a polite letter. The more letters they recieve the more of an impact it would make. I'm actually going to work on a standard letter that wwould be sent by each of us to whom it may concern. I'd like for this to be done for any club all over the world really, where ever someone feels they should have something allowed. After all, a club is designed for the enjoyment of the people. Give the people what they want!If you guys are in let me know, I don't want to start this alone!
Separate raves from the "drug scene." There's no such thing as an 'anti-rave act' just anti-drug acts and stereotypes drugs have brought to the rave scene.
yeah this is a problem the dj icey event i went to the club didn't allow glowstick the bastards but they problem is alot of clubs treat the word rave as a dirty word and they know that they cops know that extacy heads play with glowsticks, they don't care that not everybody that plays with glowsticks is on x. in the eyes of a cop trying to shut down a club glowsticks = drugs = equal bust = name in paper. i whole heartedly support the fight but i dont see it being one that is gonna be won. i suggest maybe a mass boycott of non glowstick allowing clubs i would toatly be down for that spread a movement among ravers across america. plurspace could be handy
"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," say Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't though of that" and promply vanishes in a puff of logic.
i'll definitely help. i go to the clubs in Charlotte also. I heard The Forum doesnt allow glowsticks either. I hope we can accomplish something before Tiesto on June 24th at The Forum.
Yup, definitely support the cause and would sign a petition or send a letter! Clubs without glowstick possibilities are LAME venues!!
Feel the beat from start to stop, dancin' and groovin' from bottom to top!
