i can never mention that im a raver where i live. (western massachusetts)

1. people automatically assume im an E-tard.
2. my parents think im doing more drugs than i did before i started raving, just because i told them im going to a rave party (i guess that was a bad idea)
3. "raving is just a bunch of fucked up people all fucked up on drugs" is what one of my so-called friends told me and i got REALLY offended by it.

idk im really pissed, if only people knew the love side of raving and not just the drugs. i guess i can thank the media for that.

its a shame man.

Yeah, a lot of people are naturally biased to our culture due to the media and the government, they really make us out to be nothing more than a cesspool of drugs and immorality. It really blows but perhaps one day people will start to think outside the box, think about what is being ridiculed rather than ridiculing. But for now I guess we just gotta deal with it and take every chance we can to show them otherwise and show people our culture is more about peace, love, unity, respect, and responsibility than anything else. One day maybe we'll be recognized as a legitimate community, till then we just gotta carry our creeds in our hearts and a smile on our faces.

Yeah i know what you mean man. I made the same mistake of telling my mom i was planning on going to a rave though haha. But people a lot of time view raves as these horrible gatherings. My favorite is people saying they're scared to go to raves because they might get stabbed with AIDS needles.

I also highly doubt anyone carries around needles to raves, but now I see it's possible..

but meh, he said he didn't bleed, and usually and no blood infuses with the needle, no fluids can be exchanged...
