strange turn of events

I don't know how or why... I am befuddled over this and my brain still hasn't fully processed it yet.

Apparently... I've been nominated to attend something called the National leadership summit. I don't really know what it is, but I meet the president and a few other important people, I meet Bill Clinton too; I also observe a congress meeting; I do a trial congress thing, like a mock congress; I meet with leaders of important organizations like the world bank, what else is there. I gave it to my dad this stuff is from memory. Its a 10 day thing and it looks pretty good.

What I'm wondering, HOW THE HELL DID IT GET TO ME!!! I'm no great leader, If anything I'm below average I believe. I did some bad things in the past which I why I believe I can't be all that average. I mean, me, in such a profesional environment, surrounded by people who would probably label me trash. If I told George Bush I was a raver, I doubt he would want to be near me much less shake my hand. *sigh* confused. Maybe this is a thing where everyone is allowed to go. I'm sure just about anyone can meet the president up close in person, espically after 9/11. (Rethorical statement)

Trust me most of those people aren't fit to lead either so don't worry about it. You'll be fine. It's mostly about appearances with them and you can learn a thing or two if you keep your ears open to everything around you.

Dude! shut up! some people think you are awesome (and i think that includes most of us here) and nominated you for something THEY THINK YOU ARE GOOD AT!! take the compliment!

You can learn so much from this, go with an open mind (and closed mouth you opinionated raver you! :P) and take it all in. it's an amazing experiance if nothing else!

I'm involved in some of those things like my schools student represenative body, I go around as a volunteer to teach kids the bad things about drugs (go figure XD), I also participate in what my schools called forums. This last one was about your opinion on intercultural marriages which I strongly support.

IF I walk down the street and I see a back man and white woman, I smile. 40 years and we've gotten this far, but as I've learned in the forum, we got a long way to go, this election prooved it.

Inside I understand why someone thinks I could do this, but its just unexpected. Then again, I'll never be able to beat the Alaskan senators record, 5 felonies I think, sheesh, howed he pull that off. Anyways, its just Ironic that this oppurtunity came to me. I love Star =) No raver talking on capital hill, yes maam.

Make sure to take this opportunity, it was a great boost of confidence for me joining the Junior Ambassador Program as a child, and this seems a lot like it.
And never, I repeat NEVER look down on yourself. The greatest parts about ourselves we hardly see because we cant see from the outside, understand?

that's hard man, change takes time, I need a lil more time before I accept my past and forgive myself. I still just need some time, perhaps years.
