Hey guys, i need some advice. Im doing my final project at college and have
Decided to create a glowsticking dvd. I will be creating a trailer a dvd. I want to make my trailer appealling to non glowtsicker, hopefully ill get more people involved.

Before i can start creating my trailer, i need to do some research. Here are some questions which i would like you guys to answer

What do you think about creating a glowsticking trailer or an upcoming dvd
What would you expect to see in the trailer
Should I use a number of specials effect in the trailer
Should I use slow motion or matrix style camera angle
Should I base my trailer a story or random video footage
What kind of soundtrack should do you think will work best with my trailer
What would make my trailer impressive

I think a trailer/dvd would be great and i would look foward to seeing it.
As for expectancy, just some very appealing moves like orbitals and buzzsaw fountains and what not.
Effects-yeah matrix stuff would be cool
I think that random footage would be great, or maybe u shud make random vids that some how link. that would be cool.
soundtrack wise i think u shud choose techno that everyone knows and likes just cause techno isnt as popular as say hip-hop or rock.
to make it impressive, just take ur time with it man. im sure what ever you do itll be great.

I think in the trailer you can start off with some basic stringing. then bust out some crazy stuff. Like the Hook or opening line. then go through and explain its origin and even how you started. then explain to the clueless how to do some basic moves and maybe even explain how it is a form of expression were you develop your self. maybe even throw in some archival footage from your beginnings.

besides that you just need to show people how it all works.

I like the idea of a little history and your personal history, and the self expression discussion... it might help to dull down some of the drug stigma.

If you do a section where you show basic moves that would be a cool place to use soemthing like slomo...let the demo really show technique, but also catch the glowstick trailers...that could be pretty sweet.

Random photage could also be cool, especailly if you can get a few folks that are at different skill levels but really clean with their technique...makes it a little more accessible.

I'm excited that you're doing this, it sounds like a nifty project!
