I remember a long time ago when i was first finding out about the rave scene, the general thought from people was...it was great while it lasted but now its gone.
I got real deppresed from this cuz it was something that i would have loved to get invovled in so imagine how happy i was when i found out that it was alive and well.
and while its undoubtably changed from the old acid house parties and on i think these past couple of years we have been in need of something like the rave scene more then ever.
war, a crappy economy, and a general feeling of distance from a goverment that was supposed to be for us have left people feeling disenchanted with there role in the world and the sense of unity and love that pulsates in waves from our scene is, at least for me, what gives me hope and allows me to keep on going and trying to follow my dreams.
Honestly its the best feeling in the world to escape for a night and be around people who for the most part genuinely care about you and arent just faking it.

Peace, Love, and Unity... 3 things that many people say is no longer existent in our world today. And those who still believe such a things exist, know that they are hard to find, and are seldom genuine. Peace, Love, Unity. They say it is gone. I find it every time I Log in to this website. I get feelings of Peace Love and Unity daily from people who I have never met before in my life. It's funny how to an entire generation can be searching for something that they can't find... They lose hope... Yet I find it every single day in a culture that is considered a death trap, something that is not beneficial in any way, and is impossible to get out of. If only the people of our world could think, and analyze without applying perceptions that are implanted in their brain by people who had a bad experience, or saw one bad aspect of our society.
Look at the typical American life. A swirling vortex of uncertainty, Inhibition, and Insecurity. Everyone needs to be better than their neighbor. Nobody can settle for 2nd. What is the point in living a life, when the only thing you are living for is to appeal to the thoughts of the people around you?
I live for me... I do the things that make me happy, regardless of what the person next to me is doing, I am constantly trying to spread the peace and love that I have found.
I love our culture, and what we represent. And I will love it until the day I die. I wouldn't give the amazing experiences I've had in the rave community for anything in the world... and i know for a fact that I'm not the only one who thinks so.
I want to applaud each and every Raver out there who actively contributes to the awesome levels of Peace, and Love that we all see everyday.
You know what is really sad about all of that?
Peace Love Unity and Respect... PLUR I wrote this whole post, and I didnt think of PLUR until right now... I sat and typed about peace, love and unity, yet plur never came to mind... I feel kinda bad now =/

ya, our generation is searching for love and unity so badly..and yet we seem so bad at finding it most of the time,
the love i can find here and in the greater community honestly, feel so pure it sometimes brings tears to my eyes.

= ) the funny thing is ; People will go their entire lives searching for something that slams us in the face, and pries its way into our lives whether we want it to or not(though i couldnt think of a single reason why someone wouldnt want it in their life) =P it just comes with the package...

Yeah, I agree....we are alive and livin' proud. We definitely are mostly underground. Many people know of raver's existence, but if they aren't one and don't know one, they usually don't know a way to find out good information on the scene. This was my problem getting into it. I can honestly say that I am a much better and happier person after becoming part of the rave scene!
Feel the beat from start to stop, dancin' and groovin' from bottom to top!
