The age old discussion on the difference between pop n lockin and poppin.lockin (as two different things).....

to me its the same difference...they're two different styles put together all the time..when one is done the other is as well..so whats the purpose of separating the two?

Popping is a style in itself, that involves snapping the legs back, and flexing your muscles continuously to the beat to give a jerky/snapping effect.

Locking means freezing from a movement and landing in a certain position, holding that position for a short while and then continuing in the same speed as before. REMEMBER STROBBING! Strobing is the fast form of locking. The idea of strobing is to make your body look as if it is under a strobe light.

I'm going to find some video examples.

ok but when yiou see someone popping arent they usually locking too?...i mean the poeple who pop and lock are the same ones who just pop / lock alone too right?..doesnt one reflect the other..i mean couldnt you say that locking is a constantly moving version of popping without the serious jerk formation?...cause the jerky/snapping affect came from the robot right?....so shouldn it really be the robot all over again in the new age?

Thats why I think there is such thing as pop'n'lock even though some poppers and lockers don't believe there is. Tutting and 'the robot' are both a form of locking .
Heres the best examples I could find:

Funk style Locking

Popping and locking used in combination

I'd say I like seeing someone use them both the best.
