I'm from Vancouver, B.C., Canada and so far there is no real popular style of dancing here. However I have seen:

Melbourne Shuffle
Freehand Glowsticking (rare)
Glowstringing (Only seen it once)
Lightshows/Freehand LED's in fingers (popular with the e-tards)
Breakdancing (few times)

So what is popular in your area?

Here in NM oggpoi and fire poi are the most popular performance-mabobs at a rave. Other than that the routine dance is, "Get sum glowsticks and pretend you know what you're doing."

Well, as far as dance styles, we don't really have any prevalent 'styles' in Iowa per se. However, the psy-trance kids have the psy-stomp...that's probably the most common dance form. We have some liquid and pop/lock people and occasionally you will see breakdancing, but not very often.

Other than that, we have plenty of glowstickers (strings and freehand), fire poi spinners, hoopers (lots of them), fire hoopers, staff, fire staff, rope dart, and some LED fingerlights people.

in texas its mainly liquid,freehand,stringing(me),and popping most people look at ravers and candy kidds and call us faggs or somthing along those lines.

dancestyles hmmmm theres a lot of liquid and breakdancing.

as far as glowstyles, theres a lot of glowstringers but fire spinners are very few and far between. ANd usually when im out at the weekly fri parties im the only one with the white gloves with my photons and microlights in the finger tips. I usually get asked bout 10 times a night what i use and how i cam up with that idea ( i get a kick outta it) and just say i didnt come up with the idea but u love the person who did lol.

I'm only 17, so obviously I can't speak for the rave and party scene. but I will say that in the crowd I hang with jumpstyle isn't that popular at all. they seem to get a big kick out of liquiding though. that's in FL, by the way

Fuck yeah, Iowa has one of the BEST psy scenes in the nation! Why else would we be known around the midwest as 'Psyowa' We have psy parties about twice a month (sometimes more or less) that last from about 8 PM to 8 AM....here's some links to a few past events.

Typical parties have DJ's from all over the country (and world), 2 stages, thousands of watts of blacklights, oh, so many trippy tapestries/artwork that's UV reactive, UV performances, massive sound and lasers. Come on out, we'd love to have ya!

As far as the psy-stomp goes, it's kinda hard to describe, but basically stomping to the beats of the music and moving your arms in various ways.
