Definitely have to agree -
All the places I have gone to there is just a bunch of grinding and moaning. However, I have seen a lot of liquid and freehand, not so much stringing in my Houston, TX area (maybe I am going to the wrong places???).

Well, we got all the light affiliated shit... IE, Poi, Freehanding, etc.

As for actual dancing...

The majority in the DFW is Melbourne Shuffle, or shuffling, And stomping...

Stomping I think is a NATIVE DFW DANCE because I've seen stomping in other parts of the country, but it seems of DFW-er's just do it our own unreplicated way!!!!

I've seen a few hardstylers... but not many.

around my area, eeeveryone jumps. doesn't matter what section you're in there's some crazy jumpstylers all over. and a lot of people give glove/freehand lightshows. a little bit of stringers, but not that much, so its cool for me because i always stand out.

Dude, if you've only seen someone do it once, it's obviously not popular.
Oh and shuffling is not popular in vancouver. Shuffling is HARDLY known in north america. It's mostly know in Australia, Malaysia, some europe countries like France(more and more now).

People over here just dance randomly
Thats what i love about our country. We don't exactly have a specific dance to folow. We just go like we want to =)
Of course you'll see a few shufflers. But it's totally random over here
