Tecktonik tutorial??

This really is like something id make up just for fun when dancing. When it comes down to it, the moves originate from partial pop, a lot of liquid, tracing, and a lot of random or erratic arm and hand movements =D. Does look good in some parts id have to admit.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed that certain types of music are better adapted to this sorts of dancing....I really wanna buy a Tecktonik CD....but they're sooooo expensive! I mean, you get the double CD set, but it's still like $25 for a USED copy....apparently it's a pretty big movement in France and Europe in general! I'm not sure if there is a group tecktonik or just a style of music, but there are several CD's with WAY awesome songs featured in lots of Tecktonik vids. I kinda hypothesize that it's a style of dance as well as a type/group of music....not entirely sure, though. Ideas?

And Dster....the key with dancing is to FORGET anyone is there or is watching.....just let yourself BE! Feel the music and rock out....that's all there is to it. Once you don't care what people think, you'll flow.

you are right about that. it only happens what i dance or spinn glowsticks.
But when i do my lightshows i step back stand there close my eyes and think there is no one there . and when i open my eyes i dont see anyone but the one i am giving a lightshow too.
It dont seem to work with my dancing.

But the odd part about me with gowstick i get the feeling people are watching me and it stops me from doing alot of stuff . but when i do my glowchucks or fire chucks i black ever thing out but what i am spinning.

i totally agree. "dance like no one is watching" whenever i perform, like even if theres a lot of people in the crowd i tend to blank out everyone out there cause i get so into the moment ya know.. =D i love to dance btw

i have even try in my bed room in the dark with a small light and i stil get the feeling people is watching. i gess dancing is not my thing.

here is somthing i dont understand . When i would give my light show alot of people would say wow you can dance. and i was like wow i did not know i was dancing. i was just getting into the show. so i put the lights down. i start off and then i stop cause i get that feeling. Mabe the lights (Gloves) helps me block peopel out. Hmm... is that odd or is it just me.

nah a lot of the time when i'm spinning i get so into it i can't see beyond the lights/fire anyway...

When you dance at a rave, it's done for two reasons: It feels good, and so everyone looks at you!
The important part is to not be self-concious. That's the best part of the rave scene, that no matter how ridiculous you are we love you, whether it a ridiculous dance or a ridiculous costume or personality. If you want to dance, then just do it, and fuck everyone if they watch you. They don't matter. We dance for ourselves! ^_^

Well, I agree with the feeling good part, but I don't really dance to get people's attention. I just dance to feel the music and express the inner feelings it evokes in me. I could care less whether people watch me, like it or hate it. I just do it cause I enjoy it.....pure and simple. It's the same thing with my glowsticking/fire performances....which is why I do a lot of odd variations that a lot of people don't do (due to lesser visual impact)....cause I care less about how it looks and care more about how it feels. Don't get me wrong, I want it to look good, but I don't do it TO look good....if that makes sense.

Which is why I'm fine with tecktonik....cause honestly, it looks kinda ridiculous to most people.....but it's fun to do and is a good means of expression.
