Acid Pro.....

so i just got a copy of acid pro today leagally of course

haha

i havent fooled around with it much and ive never spun on a set of 1s and 2s before and never tried to make music on a software program like this or any other kind for that matter which results in me being fresh into the scene of music making..

so does anyone use acid pro 6 or has used it before that could give me a few pointers or an quick overview of the prog.

I have used it and I’m not too big of a fan of it. It can be a little difficult for the novice, but anyone with a little computer know how can use it. It’s your basic DAW, not too many frills, but not too complicated. You mainly compose tracks with loop samples, you tweak it a bit, and go, “Viola! I’m now a music producer.” I’ve never recorded to ACID before, and from friends I have heard it has major latency issues with it. I have heard decent tracks produced in ACID, but nothing that would blow my mind and go “Wow! That that was amazing.” It is however a good entry level software and if you install it an play around with it you will have no problem getting the hang of it in no time. It’s all non-destructive editing so tweak that loop without the worries!

I liked it when i used it. but its a bit frustrating. anything from sony *i believe its sony* i stay away from these days...and that goes for anything. anywho i hope ya have fun with it

i just downloaded it... I am new to the dj thing but I have an extensive knowledge of computers. lets see how long before I get frustrated. Its 1:04 PM EST I give it till 3 PM before I either figure it out or give up!!!! LOL

oK.... as I am teaching myself how to use this program, I was wondering if any of you who already use it have some off the top of the head pointers or tips??? im using help everytime I have concerns but you guys always seem to be there in a pinch LOL

yeah my buddy has a opy of FL studios at his house.

and the Acid Pro that i got off bittorrent, something got fucked up during the install and i dont have a media manager so i think that kinda fucks me over right there, not sure though, does it, because the rest of the program is still very confusing.
