i know, i'm stating the obvious.. i'm thoroughly enjoying the challenge tho.. been carrying gear for like two months (and buying records along the way) and finally got to set it all up and start playing with it a couple days ago.. fucking in love.. got 1200's and a vestax pcv-275.. good starter setup i feel..

totaly agree beat matchin is hard i have ago on ma mates decs there pritty good at it n make it look easy its not fair lol i can stab and beat juggle tho all i can say is keep going n it will become natural

I aint much into djin so i unno what this program was but some dude was djin with vinyl/computer and the vinyls were empty and he used the computer for the music and he would push a button to reset it and he could adjust the bpm n shit it was crazy

thats an awsome set up for starters!! in fact that setup will last ya along time.

i still have a cheaper mixer..... but good tables. i like the berhinger djx700 mixer.....

cant beat vestex really. or allen and heath....




hows the beat matching coming along?

i just ride the mix..... when i find the general pitch, ill find its limits,,,, the low and high or fast and slow, and then fluxuate back and forth each time slowly decreasing the size of the span, coming closer to the center....

so everytime i think, ( i ) is the right spot, or the general pitch to ride,
ill slow it down a little, small corrections, and when it sounds like im loosing the tone, ill gauge where my knob is on the table, what % pitch im at. for reference...

then do the same but for more pitch.... back and forth a few times till you get in the middle,,,, but may not be in the center, or where you thought,,,, it would be closer than ya think.

if you can read my crapy english try it, it really works, this was a tip from a friend a while back since i tried this, a day after im holding mixes for the lengths of the tracks..... try it

currently trance/progressive.. questing for some good hardcore.. like 2 build a good base with those and then c where it goes from there..
