Wasnt sure where to put this thread so i figured in here sence the intent is for djing.
Ok so beatport is great for trance but i find there happy hardcore selection incredibly lacking so anybody know of another sight that i can goto to get some good stuff?

also, if u know the trax u are looking for than check out www.discogs.com discogs is an online database of every record of all genre types ever produced/pressed, plus they offer a service kind of like ebay where u can buy straight from someone who has copies of them. very resourceful!! hope that helps.

Beatport is pretty good stuff. Some of their selection is way overpriced. I don't mind paying a little extra for hard to find stuff, but like Red Sakura? I can get the same song (and did) on Itunes for 99 cents.

Oh, and Beatport has a decent podcast each week.

The music you are downloading from iTunes is NOT comparable to the tracks downloaded from beatport. iTunes tracks are 128k AAC files which have VERY inferior sound quality compared to downloading a 320 mp3 or especially WAV format from beatport. These AAC files are okay for listening on your iPod but please do not DJ with them. They will make my ears bleed.....

Very much agreed. Beatport offers an excellent service/product and their prices are very reasonable. Some of the UK sites are good too but the exchange rate is a big disadvantage these days. As was mentioned, from a quality stand-point there is no comparison between i-Tunes and Beatport (or other similar service).

Ya i dont spin anything thats under 320, maybe 192 if its a song that must be played.
