Try going to Tom Lee's for some equipment. You arn;t the only one who needs some Equipment here. (I need some too)

A beginner's kit should be about 500 - 1000$.

$1000.00 will buy a pro setup if you know what to get...
two technics, and a behringer mixer.... then upgrade mixer after five years, cause that mixer will last you as long as you dont spill liquids on it.

if you are buying this equipment becuase you know you want to DJ then buy pro stuff. just save...... its worth it, i spent 500$ more buyin a cheap setup to begin with, but i didnt know anyone that mixed at the time to use their system.

if you are buying a setup to learn, see if its for you, maybe youll like it., or anythign other than knowing you want to dj, use a friends setup, or spend more money in the end and buy some shitty dd dj in a box thing. they are toys. they break and will need replacing.

i always thought it would be cool to DJ but its too expensive and i probably wouldnt be any good at it anyway.. is it pretty easy to get into the swing of things or is it just something that if you aren't a natural you wont get it?

just wondering..

A DJ must always start off by learning how the equipment works. After that, all you gotta do is experiment untill you're good at it.

personally i think if you like the music.... i take it its gonna be electronica.... lol you can do it.....

its easy to do, everything is repetitive,,,, you can count? then you can mix... but youll have some learning to do. but its easy really. where are you located? if you near me, you can come over to use my equipment. and see for yourself.

ahhh yes you must understand the equipment... its essential. do you dance???? thats where i started really, im just now trying to establish myself as a dj.... but im still practicing eversingle day... for hours... but i Love this music. so its not like anoying or a job, or in too tired to mix... kida thing. i love it.

i think thats important.
