i'll agree with the general opinion on oakey, i like some of his tunes like not over yet..one of my favorites and i loooove mixing save the last trance for me..but im deffinatly growing much more partial to the acid house scene, something about trance these days..i hate to say it but it almost seems more about fashion and stuper models. as for Tiesto i do like his music, watched the copenhagen video he did *never got to see him live* the first transition he did was wicked, from 7 seconds to sunrise into deadmau5's not exacty. but the song after that..wich i wasnt familiar with, the transition in my opinion was a terrible terrible one . at any rate all three are talented producers even if i dont agree with there..ethics?

had to get in on this one. There are over rated super stars. just not think that Tiesto is one of them Oakanfold. hes good. he can put a set together and spin the sht out of it live. Diesal boy. Great if you like jungle but live he does rely to much on cd turn tables. only thing is every nights not going to be the same. Ive seen Icey like a zillion times i think by now mainly cuase hes seems to be spinning in charlotte every month and use too in Spartanburg and Greenville. But let me say some nights he rivaled my favorite Djs and one night i thought he was a local that just lucked up and got to play. Just my opinon. Most opinons of djs are locked into what you like i think. I agree that if there going to play a live set they need to bring there skills and show em, but i feel that way about ALL djs not just superstars. But i think you can make a good cd and not mix sht. Moby did and ive never been a moby fan but damn if he didnt pull some sht on his new cd. Once agian. My opinon nothing more. Any DJ can be crappy if they come to play.

Well put and good points..it really depends on what the crowd is diggen and how far away it is from what u planned haha. and cha long live vinyl, i have two pioneer cdjs but theyll never compare to my stanton's and some good wax.

I think it takes all kinds to make the world go round and there is no such thing as #1 DJ. Tiesto and Van Buuren are great. But throw them into a battle with someone like Q-Bert and they’d get eaten alive. Not saying Q-Bert is any better, just a totally different end of the spectrum.
