that ebay link i sent you is a buy it now option from an ebay store, not a bid from a user.... and it will get up there im sure... the 800 retails @ $1500.00 man. im sure he wouldnt sell it at 625.00$ but hey you never know, if he will i suggest selling the neighbors dog to raise the funds before i do! lol

i have no idea what the 800 can do haha. i got a handle on the turntables and the software but as far as mixers... i feel like im swinging in a sea of advertisments and all of them sound like god designed them himself!! its crazy! so im realy unsure what to go with. whats the word on the 500 or the 600, they are a bit cheeper....

500 and 600 are both great mixers. you probably wont even need half the shit on the 800 until youve been djing for awhile. if you can get a good price on a 500 or 600, do that instead. WAY cheaper and basically the same thing without all the bells and whistles.

for needles, go ortofon. ive tried all brands, all makes & models. ortofon is whats up.

the color (500=black, 600=silver), the curve control on the crossfader (not on 500), the sampler (not on 500), an added effect knob (not on 500). i used the 500 for about a year, and have had the 600 for about a year now. they both rock, its just the effects basically that are different. the 800 (the mad expensive one) has BADASS effects but mixes the same as the other two.

well im going to be using it with scratch live, does that have effects of its own? also isnt ortofon a company? what exact needle do you recommend?

almost any ortofon needle is worth the cash. the "nightclub" is their most expensive one (glow in the dark stylus head) but the ones i use are the ortofon "dj" (the blue and orange ones). i know several peeps that have and love them, and they're half the price of the nightclubs.

also, the 500, 600, 700, and 800 all have effects, its just that the effects getter better with how much money you spend. dont know if serato has effects, i wouldnt think so.

It has "loop" features...i actually use it when I do my "turntablsism" shows.
