Wats up? I know nothing about djing, except that i want to get into it.. I went to guitar center and they showed me some electronic djing; I saw the numark total control and torq exponent and they were sickk... but i don't know what else is out there so I need advice on what to start with.. And Im into house and trance music the most so i want something good to start with in that area..
and that is expensive but if you have passion for it, its worth it imo.
to start off you already know what kind of music you want, and thats prolly the first thing id look at, adn then the equipement to suit your needs for that kind of music. but generally, djing is djing.
so do you know what kinds of formats of mixing you want to learn?
vinyls
cds
laptop
and after you descide this, then we can get ya in hte right direction. there are threads in this forum discussing vinyls, cds, and laptop formats of mixing. just give a try and search for those topics, and see what you come up with.
I've been learning on a loaned set of tables. Best opportunity I've had in my life!!!! Personally, I suggest learning on vinyl first but everyone is different. I feel that if you learn on digital, you will get accustomed to watching the waves and other tricks and gadgets that come along with it, and then when you try to beatmatch on vinyl you'll have a hard time!! That;s just my personal opinion though!!!

I can go all weekend with no sleep and still want more when everyone else is going home. If you can keep up, Apply within.
I still use cdj's and turntables but im thinken about going with with torq's xponent, check it out ive heard great things about it midi controllers are the future of djing alot of djs are using em these days

I do all my work on a laptop, My boyfriend's cousin's a trance DJ and he uses a program called "Virtual DJ", maybe give it a try sometime when you get a chance =)
if your going to spin trance, or even house music, i deffinately advise against vinyl turntables, with trance there really dont press very much vinyl anymore, yer best bet would be cdj's or some kind of midi controller. like xponent or a vestax controller.

they LOOK good to me. But why would you buy before reading review s or getting opinions? Not flaming you, just sayin. What mixer are you getting, or do you already have one?

I looked them up on a website, i was just curious if anyone on here has used them before. DJ Eezergud is giving me a stanton mixer.
