ok im new with DJing and dont even have equipment yet but any junglists or DnBists can help me out on what kind of equipment i should for these types of music lemme know cause i lova this music and would really like to keep it alive so support an upcaoming DJ with some help

well if you played trance and house, i think you will be still looking at the same type of equipment....

but the most important thing here is, the money. so what are you willing to spend.

i started with these, used at a pawn shop for 150.00 a pair. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Numark-B...75-i1155398.gc and then bought a stanton mixer, that was like 70$

after three months time, the mixers crossover was shot, and i got a numark mixer.... and again, three or four months after, the crossover was shorting out......

i broke down and bought this

i will tell you its worth the money!!!! ive had this mixer for 6 months or so now and i keep it clean, and lube the faders. no problems yet.....

so, if you can find those numark 1625 turntables, and the djx 700 mixer, get it. unless you have the funds for this

now when i get 1500 bucks ill probay get a higher quality mixer. either allen and heath, or a vestex, or pioneer.....
after you have gotten a little setup, and the skills and you know you are wanting to invest money, go get the pro stuff.....

but basically find what you can afford without buying belt drive. and i dont recomend direct drive other than for finding out if this is what you want to do. you need technics.... or vestex,, and numark now makes nice turnatables. but still only techs man.... its the best and havent changed for 20 some years.... they are the best in my opinion.

the only reason i would say get the numarks is because they arent half bad to learn how to beat mix with..... just keep your fingers off the platter ok... lol use the pitch control, they are good tables, and inexpensive. i gave them to a kid in tulsa, ok, whn i got the technics, but i only could get one at a time... lol

you dont need the m5g's but at least a 1200 series technics.

just play vinyl. don't get all technical and play laptop music. that doesn't really suit the jungle perspective.

whatever way you get the music to the floor, isnt as important as bringing the correct vibe to the crowd... use a computer, cd's and vinyls.... get used to them all, i never seen a jungle or dnb event without modern technology...... people want to dance, and let free all the shit they might be hanging on too, although some will turn away if they saw you mixing off a laptop, but they might be old fasioned, i still only use vinyls,,, but thats casue im still not evolved into the modern technologies of a dj...


this new mixer i got,,,, you dont need a record player, a cd, or a computer to mix a set. its just an sd card.. haha imagine that, but i dont play out with it. only vinyls, i just like the records.... maybe this is more of a personal preference... idk
