fruity loops looks like a really good program but when i downloaded it a few years back i got really confused and ended up uninstalling it. So my first step now is to learn how to mix and everything to do with djing. After i get that down, ill attempt producing and creating my own music. I have some 9-10 years of piano experience that'll help me in the process.

Although, im gonna need to save up for a while. I really want to do this so im gonna try to get decent equipment. I dont know what mixers are good, but iv been looking at the some decks to start out with- technic sl1200/1210 and the staton st 120, 150. but which!?

at the start if you are unfamilar with a program it can be really fustrating but there are sites out there to help you. FL site has tutorials for the beginner to the advanced

piano experience would help out with melodies for your producing but i dont see it bringing much to the table as far as djing

Stantons are great tables for people just learning how to dj. cheap and effective. now if you find that djing is something you like then you can upgrade to technics.

Wow, never thought about it that way. about key mixing..It might be alittle difficult for me since i never learnd much about music theory but I do have a decent ear for keys.

well if you can figure out what yer keys are theres a easy way to figure out how to mix em..

pretty much just find yer key and mark down the code *11 a 3 b what have you* and work it like a clock for instance
11 a is comaptible with 11b 10 a or 12 a. also in some cases for a energy boost you can mix it with 1 a or 2 a. hope that helps a bit
