at the start if you are unfamilar with a program it can be really fustrating but there are sites out there to help you. FL site has tutorials for the beginner to the advanced

piano experience would help out with melodies for your producing but i dont see it bringing much to the table as far as djing

Stantons are great tables for people just learning how to dj. cheap and effective. now if you find that djing is something you like then you can upgrade to technics.
just my opinion.
