so i can record from my mixer via usb interface but i cant play from my laptop to my mixer via usb.... or at least i dont know how to do this. do you? is this possible? i get hprrible distortion when i use a 1/8th to rca cord to the mixer...

first of all with ur 1/8 to rca you need to check the folowing

*that the rcas are going into a line level input
*ur cord works try it with an ipod or something
*check ur output levels on ur lapy via sound card volume control
*adjust the gains on your mixer
*if you are useing something like virtual dj traktor check that the master output is bellow 0db
*if you are useing a usb soundcard make sure that you allso got some 9v power running to it
