Ok so basically. Today I went to fry's to check their pricing for Inovas.
I noticed that they were all 6.99.
Great.
So then I come home and check on several reputable Inova selling sites.

Amazon.com: Inova Mircolight Red LED, Translucent... Even amazon sells it for $1 more expensive.

Am i just superconfused? are these different kinds of inovas?
Could someone make some sense of this. cuz usually online prices are the cheapest. So why is frys the cheapest?

there are 2 types of novas. first generation and second generation. first gen. has the normal squeeze to turn on, and a switch on the back to keep it on. they work exactly like how rabbits lights do. (i prefer these for simple 2 nova conjure shows) the second gen. is most of the ones you see now. not too many people sell first. the second gen has the on, low beam (super fast flash/ dot mode), strobe mode, and sos. first gen if your lucky to find them is cheaper.

i recently picked up 10 from here.... just under $5 a pop. plus about $6 shipping.

pricing has a lot of factors. price is determined by economics. there are numerous factors that determine how much a store sets a price at. usually online is cheaper only for the fact that they dont own a physical store, something that stores have to calculate into the price. (rednt, electricity/water, wages, insurance, etc. )sometimes stores are trying to liquidate merchandise for whatever reason. so its hard to tell exactly.

Oo also. Are you sure that the 10 you bought from gadzooks arent used or something? have you already recieved them and verified that they're the 2nd generation/new?
Cuz 5 bucks seems extremely low haha.

I just posted this in another thread, but I found some Inovas (the second gen) at Target for $7 bucks that is pretty good compared to most websites I have seen.

Ya Target has them in the home improvement isle with all the other flashlights. The only problem at least in the LA area is people always steal them or there sold out >_<

^^^ That and they don't always have all the colors. The Target near me only ever has the white and blue.
