there is my main reason i need to up my freehanding skill. you can NOT dance with chicks while stringing. period had a chick once that wanted to dance with me and i her but she also wanted me to keep stringing because she was rolling or maybe tripping i am not sure and while i can do some freehand my moves are quite basic and repeatitive but pretty smooth to do what i know how to do. so yeah i need to learn free hand and free hand transitons from stringing to allow dancing with the ladies.
"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," say Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't though of that" and promply vanishes in a puff of logic.

agree in full!!
i find the easyest way is a simple one handed spiral so it wraped around the hand then catch it in the palm.. and there you go!
i would also advice trying without strings, just for the hell of it... or bring a set of strings and a set for freehand!
use them pockets!
so i've been trying to use my X Lights, recording myself... mainly trying to see how well i can go with the music... I notice that I keep changing which beats i go to in the music... i'll go with the standard bass in the background, then i'll just switch and go with some other beat or sounds... my question is, is this good or bad? should i stay with one beat thru the whole song?
staying on the same beat for a whole song is what i consider a good flow, very consistent and easy...
but, if you switch it up, especially hard style or heavy music that has wicked drops and breaks...etc... you HAVE to change! i think its good!
something that i also try and do is have 2 or 3 speeds. like verses in a song .... 1 speed for the course, 1 speed for the verses/solos/.... then go back and forth between the different "backgrounds" ... for sure a good tactic and skill to acquire...
