I have never really freehanded before, I mainly focus on stringing. I want to incorporate freehanding into my stringing though. What should I do to get started? What should I learn first?

do the basics- i TOTALLY suck a freehanding, which I'm going to start practing here after I get back from Michigan (major crap going on) traces, figure 8s helicopter

yeah i agree with her you need to learn some traces and when you do wraps snag the glowstick and start a tracing it works pretty good (ive only tried it like 4 times so...) also figur 8s and jumping jakcs...i call em that cause they look liek the jumping jack (upper torse part) work very good when incorporating into stringing oh and spirals work good too so yeah....

YES THEY DO =P...lol spirals into freehand looks amazing.. you just have to grab them right =P

Ummmm... after you get the basics down start doing tosses- yeah they look awesome. and stalls/catches etc., I wish RaverBoy would come back to the fourms.. =(.. (guy that is amazing at freehand that i use to hang out with) I'll see if i can find n e videos with him in it =D HES AMAZING =D - him and his pants =D

only other advice i can really give you is to remeber to feel it. its not like stringing where you can do w/e and itll look cool. you need to think of youself as a human visualizer to the music. feel the flow and rock it! and post a vid :P i want to see!

yea id jsut start with the basics like the figure 8 (duh) hehe stomach trace and neck trace then the neck will lead into the arm. Kinda hard tro do tosses when stringin tho
