Hey guys, Kage here.
Just wondering if you could give me some tips on how to attack this.
So far I have hit myself in the head around 7 times trying to do this.
The trouble I'm having is when I try to cross with the right (Not really cross, but twist.) it's not wanting to, and thus sending my glowsticks every which direction I've viewed the tuts and they also don't really seem like they are helping much o.o

It's a mean one, hopefully ya'll can help.

~Kage

the 5 beat weave is a very hard one to learn. your hands get used to the 3 beat and just dont want to do thoese extra 2 beats.
try this-if your doin the weave on the right side, when your wrist twist, move both hands to your left side(while still twisted, this is how u keep from hitting yourself) than untwist them and do the opposite. your goin to hit your self alot with the sticks learning this move but hang in there youll get it.

it takes a long time to learn. i think it took me about a mouth before i could do it and and a few more weeks to get good at it. it feels very unnatural twisting your wrist like that so just keep practicing and remember to keep having fun.

It is a hard one to learn it took me forever to get it one side and then one day while goofing around with some sock poi I was like I'm going to get and I some what got it lol It's still really sloppy and could use some work. The thing that helped me was getting the hand movements down and then doing it...try it with one string out and then the other and then with them both together.

Yeah, if your arms are hurting or something take a break and let them chill a little. Also, remember to stretch your arms. (Hell, stretch everything before you spin, you'll move more then.)

Another thing is when you start adding beats to moves and doing the more complex stuff, the way you swing starts to change. With the 3bt it's just aiming and throwing the poi where they need to go and following through with it. When you start adding beats is when you have to aim still but also start twisting arms and body, too. Doing one or the other is normal but doing both takes a little getting used to.

Like Rivers said, it'll take a little while. I don't remember how long it took me but it's not an over night thing. Then you gotta clean it up. So be patient with it and be patient. It more than pays off when you get it down.
