I need some help. I have been working on stringing in general, you know just practicing and putting all my moves together. I have been getting a little bored though because I am not really seeing much progress, not like when I learn a new move. Most of the time I am trying to figure out which move I should do next and trying not to do the same moves too many times. Anyone have any tips to help me? Or anything relating to this? Seriously, any tips or help would be great.
when I start feeling like I'm getting stale, or thinking too hard, I change up my music...something totally off the wall...I'll go from trance to sinatra to serious afrocuban drum stuff to vivaldi to the mormon tabernacle choir to hardcore. Every different type of music lets me find a differnt way to move.

man i always just do the opposite of what my heads tellin me to do. Just have to think outside the box. The music thing helps to. Probly my biggest combo builder is simply closing my eyes and stringing. Using muscle memory (sounds nuts to some ppl) but it always works for me :P

not nuts at all - that's how I learn new stuff! I have to close my eyes and feel the weight of the poi and move with that. also...just as a thought - you can try incorporating turns and stalls into things...mixes it up a bit...

It'd be a good plane tester, because if your planes are good, you'll be fine, but if your planes are sloppy, you'll hit yourself in the crotch or face...Perhaps it could be a measure of self-assessment on planes?

Yeah Honestly i belive if you cant perform certain moves or routines with your eyes closed you dont know them well enough. If your on the ground or in pain most the spin practice is needed! lol. One thing i always had fun doing was im not good with orbital continuances but i can catch one damn well. Fun to catch them with your eyes closed. To some1 who doesnt spin its normaly incredible

well how long you been stringin? hard for some ppl to help when we dont know how experienced you are.
I started stringing about a year ago, but I haven't been stringing the whole year. I can do most of the intermediate moves and I can transition good. When it comes to putting it all together I can do it ok but it just doesn't go any further than that. If that helps.
