i need somethin to practice with besides glowsticks

poi dude.. get urself some sox (soccer sox, tube sox, something long n straight-ish), throw some tennis balls in there, or maybe a cup or two of rice, and spin on!!

ps r u practicing w/ fresh sticks?? cuz that get's PRICEY!! save ur deads n practice w/ those..

to make poi out of socks and the rice, turn the sock inside-out, stick the rice in, tie a knot as close to the rice as you can and flip it inside out again. these are easy, cheap, and dont hurt too much.

you dont even realy have to flip inside out and all that just dump the rice in a lil plastic baggie and stuff it in the sock i use about a cup, dont use instant rice. i reccomend also stringing a some dead sticks up handles style and practicing with those

another thing ive heard is you get football socks and you put smaller socks in the football socks. thats how i made my first sock pois. but i prefer glowsticks.

Well, to be Captain Reiteration...try dead glowsticks or maybe sock poi. LOL! I do like the idea of the rice socks with the flippy thing (maybe plus the plastic baggy...best of both worlds). You don't need rice all over, do ya!?

longer athletic socks with tennis balls, or even balled up socks, works fine.

i use some flatstitch socks i made lol. benefits of a sock factory! straight socks but 1/2 the thickness. threw some raquetballs in there.. work mighty fine. is a tennis ball heavier at all??

I would guess the are about the same weight...the tennis ball might even be lighter. LOL. I just thought of using a Koosh ball in a sock....I think that'd be pretty sweet. I'll have to rummage the house to see if I can find 2....idunno.
