1) Be sure as soon as it starts doing it's thing, try to shift it to the opposite side of your body from which it started... Thus if you do an orbital on your left, you shift it the right, and it's a continuance and should keep it going a bit longer
And 2) Orbitals is all about timing and when to pull, and what works for me, is for the timing, let them get half way crossed....
For example, whichever is on bottom when they start to cross, should make it to the same position opposite to it, like it should END up at the top, when you pull your strings...
Though I could be wrong and that could just be the way I do em, but I heard that somewhere aroudn here in someone's vids and it greatly increased my rate of which I successfully do orbitals.
