I'll confess.....I can't do orbitals well.....so I feel ya. However, flowers are easier to learn IMO. Just work with one arm....try forward spins first.....just slightly move that arm forward a couple degrees with each turn of the poi. Start with lots of petals (fewer degrees to move each time). Put one arm at full length, then spin.....each time you spin it around, when the poi/glowstick is going on the 'outside' of the circle, move with it a few degrees.....keep doing this till you've made a full rotation. Then once you get the feel of it, you can shorten it down to 3-6 petals per revolution of your arm. Four petals is the standard....cardinal degrees or the hands of a clock at 12, 3, 6 and 9...
Talk to me if you have specific problems.
Feel the beat from start to stop, dancin' and groovin' from bottom to top!
