Default Orbital Exit - 08-17-08, 01:14 AM

I am having trouble with the orbital exit. I have watched alex's vid but I still can't get it. Any tips on exiting orbitals?

same here man. its really inconsistent with me. i know how to do it fine, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. all i can say is it really seems to depend on the kind of strings you're using.

Funny thing is, I'm the same way as Connor. I can do orbitals, I can do sexy orbitals with insane types of continuances. However, the exit... doesn't always work. I've gotten better at it, I probably have like a 70% success rate now, but it's still hard.

Can you do a continuance? If you can, turn the other way instead of whichever way you're turning to do it... and it should exit. It's hard to get, and it takes practice, and like I've said I still can't do it all the time and I've known the move for 10 months now at least.

And that's why I never bothered to learn orbitals for so long. I normally just turn and go into a reverse weave. I think that's what most people do cause the sticks are already moving that direction. And like the other guys I scale it by a "success rate". Hah.

You can tell if it's gonna be a sloppy or clean exit almost instantly, so what I've been working on is going into a full arm extension with the sloppy ones. It automatically makes the sticks start moving again and I don't think it looks too terrible. (Better than the random movement, I say)

That's all I got.

They are fun to do but then it just stops. What is the best exit someone could achieve? Is it possible to exit as cleanly as if you were doing an airwrap?

that is what an ideal orbital exit should look like, an airwrap. i found it easier to wait for the stix to slow down some, then move like your going to do another continuance but move your arms above and below the orbital. idk how that sounds, ill try to make a vid to show it.

Ya I don't really understand. A vid would be sweet, but if not no big deal.
