So I just finished performing with my oggz for my physics class. Most of the class went to Cedar Point so it was only a few of us and the sub. She told me to get up on a desk and do it so she could see better. lol. 1 1/2 of straight poi. I'm tired.

Did it mostly too Astrix, so it was fast spinning mostly. Only screwed up once on a windmill (because I hit the ceiling while I was on the desk haha)

Every person that tried them nailed their nads it was funny as hell.

that's a good story!! i have a bullshit gig i gotta do apart from my reg job (well, they're intertwined in an incredibly stupid way) this weekend, and my boss was all 'so ur basically just gonna b a babysitter.. just check in and make sure evrythings cool and then u can go swing ur glowsticks or something for a couple hours and get paid 4 it..' hahahaha.. they know how 2 get me 2 do stuff lol!! isn't it funny tho how everybody knows u swing.. i think it's cuz we'll (every single 1 of us) will pull stix at random times n start jammin just cuz and 4get ppl r watching lol.. makes u like a novelty item or something.. highly entertaining..

I wish my stupid one-offs gave me time to swing - I usually end up stuck in the booth supervising high school kids...

LMH - it's really cool that you got to play in physics class - my physics teacher never would have been down for that...although if you want to know what he's like, picture Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller's Day Off...

LOL the llama... oh yes! Jare thats awesome btw, and great story man. I wish I strung in high school, I'd be further labeled a freak... not that I was but people didn't really like me too much. I think it was mostly because I would always tell them how much whatever they're listening to sucks and I'd blast my techno all day long. =) At the time I only had 2 CDs though... Euro Temptations 1 & 7!! WOOOOOOOO

fuckin sweet!!! Way to promote our scene! I hit myself in the nuts twice last night when I had two glowsticks and an inova on each string trying to do the same trick .... OUCH

Yeah, the lama part WAS priceless. LOL. That story made me smile. Wish I could spin in front of my class, although I'm past HS, so I don't see that happening EVER. Jared, I love that your boss a) knows you string and tells you to do so and b) knowingly lets you string on the job and get paid for it! Wish my job was like that! I have done some fire performances for my coworkers after I got off for the night, though.

yeah last night me and a bunch of friends went camping, none of them had ever seen/heard of poi before. I stood behind the fire and gave them all a good show, they were blown away.

Never realized how much fun it is to string for people whove never seen it before.
