Nah, the 3 beat weave isn't encompassed in 'Spinning 101'....that's the basics before weaves. I've been meaning to make a 3 beat weave tutorial for some time, but haven't gotten around to it....maybe this weekend.

the closest ive seen to that would be the 5-beat tut that alex has out (very good by the way) he brings you through all the hand movements in detail(the 3- beat included)

Can you do a TWO HANDED FIGURE 8?

Learn to lead with both hand's, then after a day or two of doing this, it will suddenly leap out at you

The 3-beat weave is simply a transition between leading with the left / right hand.

Check Youtube for Meenik's (Nick Woosley from "Playpoi" I think) weave tutorial, he has a couple useful exercises that will help you learn it. Although everyone I have taught it just had to learn what I mentioned above, and they were able to weave in no time.

That should cover all the basic types of 2 and 3 beat weaves. I'm pretty sure I made this in response to this post, but never really posted it here. ENJOY!

when you're transitioning, dont forget- bottom hand comes out and over. homeofpoi has a tutorial too if you want it now.

Wow I'm a dumbass, I completely forgot to mention bringing the bottom hand to the top for the transition (and of course top hand to the bottom for the reverse weave)

Start off by swinging your right hand to the left side of your body, once the glowstick gets to about your left knee, swing your left arm to the right side of your body, at this point, your right glowstick should be at about your head on the left side of your body, swing it back to the right side and go OVER your left arm and then over, your left should follow your right at this point, and then just continue this on your left side.

Hand movements:
START: Right over left on the left side of your body
move left hand over your right
bring left hand to the right side of your body and follow with right hand
move right hand over left
bring right hand to the left side of your body and follow with left hand
REPEAT

once you get it down once, its easy.
Dont confuse a 2bt with a 3bt, as it looks awful.
