FUCKING DAMN IT!!!! I HATE THE TERM 'HUGGY CROSSER!!!!'....wow, glad I got that out of my system for a while...Well, are you talking about a butterfly crosser (opposite directions) or a weave-based crosser (same directions)? Either can be done in split-timing, but butterfly crossers are predominantly same-timing and weave-based crossers are usually split-time. The best way to get split timing down is to concentrate on the ticking of your hands on the downbeat...do it with music and put one hand down on the beat and the other on the off-beat. Oh, here are my tutorials if that helps:

PS...I'm trying to start a new movement of nomenclature for this move...join me in ending the use of the term 'huggy crosser' and replacing it with 'crossers' or 'weave-based crossers'...huggy is just repetitive and unnecessary. Thanks (realize I mean no disrespect or anger toward you personally, just the terminology).
