i was looking around the http://www.feuershow.de lesson area and i found a wicked weave that i have no idea realy how to do or even start out. i can do the atomic weave smooth and perfect but this move is beyond my understanding....heres the link

I think it's just a 4 beat thread the needle,,,,
it's much easier than you'd think.

actually okay this is for sure spam but I am fairly positive that is a 4 beat thread the needle....... It's just about identical, I just spun it in the mirror.

I'm sure you can thread the needle? Rotate it 90 degrees, and then add an extra spin on both sides adding an extra two beats. I remember when I first did it, I thought it was the most amazing thing in the world, which then opens the doors to butterfly weaves and other nifty tricks / transitions.

Well, they might be calling it a multiplane weave but I don't think it really is one. The only real multiplane weave I can think of is the atomic weave. Honestly, to me that looks like a thread the needle variation with crooked planes.

I'm not sure if anyone's ever told you this; but I've told some people who I've taught stuff to that they should try the butterfly but with their planes making an X from the top. When you start out, it's a lot easier to avoid collisions doing so, and it looks like he's doing a TTN variation of that.

ok thats definitely NOT a 4bt ttn lol. cuz just like a 5bt weave, your hands twist together when doing it..

thats just a reg ttn variation like dance said. it KINDA looks like it could be a reverse atomic vertical vertical tho. the forward you're pretty much doing a weave but in an X rotation like that and your hands are the center of your planes. so its a possibility its a reverse vertical/vertical atomic weave..

ya know what.. i think that IS what it is. ill make a forward vert/vert vid n then we can compare the 2 vids.. the planes seem to be on the same paths n what not. if this vid had a shot from the side im sure you'd see the socks are at a 45degree angle from each other putting them on sep planes.

Personally I do a lot of little plane variations and such with these types of movements.... And the very first post to the thread was asking how to do this. I still say the movements are identical, however SOMETHING looks a tad bit funky and I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps it is the angles...... <3

And I just noticed when I do a TTN, the planes shift around a lot. I have it down clean, but the trick just naturally makes those plane shifts as you put one POI behind the other, he's just exagerating them a bit?

Mine don't twist together....... Exactly identical to the movements in that video. Am I not doing a 4 BT TTN then? I first figured it out and thought I was doing something unique, then found the PlayPOI Tutorial (meenik) and finally found out the name to the trick I was doing.

Also count the beats....... I count FOUR.

when doing a 4bt your hands twist.

say doing a reverse.. you start with 2bt ttn, after taking your right hand under you need to then wrap it up and OVER your left hand to add the 4th beat.

same goes for forward.. start with 2bt ttn right hand goes over, then wraps under your left hand. so jsut like a 5bt weave and 4 bt corkscrews.. your hands have to twist up to correctly add the extra beats. unless you thruwrap it.

sounds to me you're just doing a 2bt ttn variation.

i just dont see him doin a 4bt at all in the top vid. if anything its a reverse split time ttn with the planes in an x. thats my opinion tho.

but yea at 4:38 its just a split time ttn imo.

great find tho. i can do em.. but i learned a whole different way. vid kinda helped me out lol. and i guess your hands dont need to twist for the 4bt lol. i was taught to twist em.. i guess that just keeps the center of the planes at your hands tho..

oh n those split time butterfly weaves.. LEARN them. they are very fun to do. you can throw em over your shoulders under your hips all sorts of different things with em =D

I think I see why you are saying your hands have to wrap, in together time that is. Split time however, which I guess is what makes it a "variation" your hands just move one over the other... It's still 4 beats however.

I would say the video is a SPLIT TIME FOUR BEAT THREAD THE NEEDLE, perhaps with increased angles/planes.

Any disagreements? lol

Oh, and YES! I absolutely love butterfly weaves...... I trip my buddies out with them, their faces just go blank LOL. I have trouble with Together Time however....... All of them stemmed off from this trick.

I completely understand now why you're saying that's a two beat. In together time, thread the needle is pretty much one beat. I'm confused........ AHHHHH okay I give up on this subject.... lol
