Once you know the forward and reverse weaves, the turns come naturally. When you weave to one side and are unwound, turn toward that direction and weave the opposite direction. Definitely comes with a lil practice. Captain Planet, I've been spinning poi for approx. 3 years and glowsticks for 5. And as for it being darker, I work evenings and haven't had many days off recently, but wanted to do the video while I had the idea and while the ice was still there. Although, once it warms up, expect some darker/better fire poi vids from me...hopefully I'll even find someone to film me instead of having to do it all myself...lol. I've only used my massive 3.5" monkey fists once, so I'm def gonna do a vid with them!! (this vid was my first fire poi set...they don't burn very long) Thank you all for your enthusiastic words of encouragement!!

ok this is guna seem like a really dumb question but can you wrap with fire poi since it only touches your skin for like a second?

yeah! i love it. keep it up. except the play button wouldnt go away in the middle of the video for me. its ok tho i could still see the majority of what u were doing. youre awesome

I used Windows Movie Maker to edit...nothing special, it came on my computer. Yes, you can do wraps with fire poi, although they don't bounce off like glowsticks...not really the same. And, even though it's a quick touch, the metal parts are hot and can result in burns and you usually lose your arm hair (pretty stinky...ick) Therefore, I avoid wraps entirely other than thru wraps where the flames don't actually touch me. Pheonix...if you play vids by using the play button in the middle (rather than the small one below) then it will naturally disappear.
