Well I finally got around to getting some videos off of my camera and I put a few together to post here. This was my 4th or 5th time spinning fire so I was still a little nervous around it. This is me at roughly 6 months since I started learning poi. Comments/criticism very welcome

my only suggestion is to go just a tiny bit slower they where sometimes where you sped up alot and it just looks better slower smoother and u experience the fire better, but it was a great video keep them coming and GREAT JOB!

Woah.....nice dude!! I loved the meltdowns, crossers, butterfly crossers, wallplane weaves....well, I liked it all! Great job! What kind of wicks are those?? They burn forever! As far as critiques go....here's my two copper lincolns: I noticed a slight plane issue with the crossers at times (it looks like you're doing the full 360 version....maybe try to rotate just a lil more) but I'm sure it'll right itself with time (if it hasn't already). Oh, and do you do any BTB moves? Cause I'd like to see some. But I realize BTB weaves with fire requires a high level of comfort with those moves before you do it. Just a few things to work on. GREAT JOB THOUGH...!! I hope to see more!

PS....that Daft Punk mix was HOT!! Sounds like a live set!

Thanks for the critiques LRB, those crossers felt a lot more smooth when I was doing them then when I watched the video after I noticed how off my planes were at times. I've been working hard on them I assure you. Some good news was my meltdown planes looked a hell of a lot better on camera than I thought they did As for BTB moves I just finally got the wallplane weave down about 2 weeks ago and its such a fun move to do, I'll deffinately throw some in for my next video. Just need to get comfortable with them and fire. And my wicks are 3.5" monkey fists...(of doom!! haha)

preface: i wasnt able to watch the last half of the video so some comments criticism might be moot.

first off you have been busy in those six months my friend. i really like that in fine poi fashion you do alot of turning/crosser turning and whatnot. i would agree with bryan on the topic of planes. i think your planes would be fine if you focused on timing your turns. i would suggest trying to pivot on the ball of your foot to make a point turn and keep your center of gravity closer to where it should be. this should allow your planes to fall into place much more easily. aside from that the only other thing for improvement i can think of would be to watch the split timing on the uta crossers. i do it too. it tends to heppen when you let the following poi lag just a bit too long- too improve that i would say slow it all down a smidgeon and really get a feel for the move.
those flowers looked nice- maybe try your hand at some hybrid flowers? happy spinning and keep the videos coming!

Awwww....SNAP! That's what I have! They rock. I should have known....mine burn for ages as well! I get pretty tired and almost run out of ideas for moves after a while....but they're so bitchingly heavy they're super fun to swing around!
