Ok this video consists of three tricks 2 halfway decent orbitals, a weave , and 1 failed butterfly :P its not very long soo ya..
also i didnt have as much space as i thought i would in the basement so if it looks like im kinda cramped..ya.i iz

Sweet vid! I'm very glad to finally see you spin!! I LOVE the track...def throw that into your next mix!! Yeah, you looked a little restricted (but that's very typical of my vids too), but I'm glad you had enough light (a typical 'first vid' mistake). The orbitals looked good as did the 3 beat weaves! You've got that shit DOWN...keep working with it to get some variations! The butterfly will need some work, but we didn't really get an adequate attempt....keep working with it...just try to keep one hand (my R hand for a forward butterfly) slightly ahead and above the other hand to keep it going. My main suggestion is to turn 90 degrees to either side when doing the weave.....just to keep your planes oriented correctly. That way the audience sees the entire circle rather than just rising and falling poi. Other than that your form was flawless....keep it up....very smooth and fluid!

ya for some reason i can do the butterfly's better with the sticks then the poi, the poi weight just feels awkward for that move but i'll keeps worken on it ..

*edit* kinda sucks tho when i was practicing down there i hit the ceiling beam with one of the socks, and as i look at it theres a tiiinnnny little cut in the sock, doesnt look like its all the way through ..little bummed about that tho, deffinatley wont be spinning down there again :P
*re edit* also can you do orbitals with poi? i tried it out a few times but it didnt go very well.

Yeah, you can def do orbitals with poi....it's just a little different. That sucks about the hole in ur sock....don't worry about it though. Mine always have holes in them. As long as they're not big enough to compromise the strength of the sock, it's not a problem. If they get to the point where the stuff inside the sock is gonna break through, then replace them. Otherwise, it's just an aesthetic issue.
