Hey I'm still a bit to young to go to raves and whatnot (I'm 16) but I'd like to learn about them before I turn 18 so when I'm old enough I can join the crowd. What can you guys tell me about raves? what is the most basic dancing at a rave? Anything to get me started would help. Thanks
Welcome to GenXGlow! You're not too young to rave! You're never too young to rave!!! Well, a lot of raves take place at venues where alcohol is served, so they try to limit the crowd to 18+. However, there are plenty of all ages events. Check out our events page to find some in your area! =)
Yeah, dancefLoor is right....you just need to find an all ages event. I've got plenty of friends who were raving it up hardcore at the age of 16. Welcome to the site, this is a wonderful place.
To answer your questions....dancing at raves really depends on the music, people in attendance and location. In my area, we have a lot of stomping, liquid and poi/staff/hoopers. Really it doesn't matter how you dance cause no one will hate on you for it....just feel the beat and flow with it! If you plan on going to a party....be sure to go with some people you know and trust.
Feel the beat from start to stop, dancin' and groovin' from bottom to top!

Yes, a safe raver is a smart/true raver...And Smart/True ravers believe in the buddy system...Always be with at least one person you know and trust and you two keep an eye out for each other...Especially if you decide to do x (if it's your first time)
