Whos tired of the dinner/movie date? Whos not rich? Idea thread anyone? T-shirts! Cost: $3 - $13 Time spent: 2 hours or so if you go out and buy shirts with no rush. This is good to fill in those silent moments before you bang them! just kidding..not really Simple. Remember that funny inside joke you two had last week? Nows the best time to bring it back up. You will need:
My shirt says, "Smoke Blunts" because I myself am anti-cigs. (you'd have had to be there for it to be funny) ______________________ Why is it every time I need to get somewhere, we get waylaid by jackassery? |

Hookah Bar My favorite place to go on a first date, before/after dinner, your choice. In my area (Cincinnati) the average price to rent a hookah till the bowl runs out, is like 10 bucks. Nice, cheap, lasts 2 hours or so depending on how often you drag on the hose, and you can talk and get to know them better. Also, there are tons of different flavors, so be nice and let your date pick. Just not honey... I've heard horror stories about that one.... ______________________ I'm too cool for sigs.... Awww yeah...great ideas! T-shirts is creative (and what girl doesn't like to shop!?) and hooka bar is totally tits. Then again, you have to have a girl that's down with shisha, but it'd be an awesome date idea! ______________________ Feel the beat from start to stop, dancin' and groovin' from bottom to top!www.myspace.com/lilraverboi www.youtube.com/lilraverboi308 lilraverboi@genxglow.com Use my HOP discount code 'lilraverboi' for 15% off all merchandise at Home of Poi! |

Opera / Symphony / Orchestra Cost: $3-10 (if you're a student) Time: 1-3 hours It's a great place to take a date and show them you have a bit more culture than other guys. There is at least one intermission(break) and if you didn't like it you can leave. It's also an excuse to dress nice. I'm not too much into the classical music but, I recently discovered that I enjoy them. It doesn't hurt to try. Play Cost: ~$5 (if you're a student and depends where you live) Time: 1-2 hours I think it's better to go to a play than sit at home and watch tv, again it something different that most of us don't do very often. Poi-ing / Glowsticking / Glowstringing Cost: Free Time: When they are visually satisfied. If they are into EDM, you can always take a girl into your room, turn off the lights, blast some EDM, crack open some sticks and give them a light show. (The last girl I've been with didn't really dig lightshows but, who knows, there are different women out there). I'm gonna keep trying. |

My date idea: -1 DiGiorno pizza -1 2L bottle of pop -2 rental movies -Candles....to set the mood for your ghetto-trash date LOL -Condoms/lube...ya never know where the night is gonna go...be prepared! LOL Well, maybe I'm not very classy...and pretty easy to satisfy on a date (I don't expect lavish food/entertainment). This was kind of a joke, but if I've been dating someone for a while, I'm totally down for such things...probably not wise to attempt on a first date, though LOL. |

On both of these, it is also really worth it to see if your local performing arts organizations offer "rush" seating - you stand in line til about 5 minutes beforehand, and then you get in for a significantly reduced price, sometimes as low as five or ten bucks a person on a 50 or 60 dollar ticket - even if you don't get in, it's a fun experience. Some places also offer special deals if they have a show that isn't selling well, two for ones and that sort of thing - and often the lack of sales have little to do with the quality of the show. You can also sometimes get special deals if you are under 30 - performing arts organizations are actively trying to grow that subscriber/audience base, and offer "pay what you will" nights and sometimes two for one tix. If you call around, you' be surprised what turns up! Music Swap Assuming that your date is into music...being that this is a raver community and all... There's two parts to this - the first is a trip to the grocery store. I like to do homemade pizza - a lot of grocery stores have good premade crusts, so all you have to do is stretch them, top them, and bake them (Trader Joe's has regular, whole wheat, and garlic herb!) Even with a bottle of wine, that's dinner for two for about 15-20 bucks. Then, you go home, you make the pizza together, you have a glass of wine, and you do the music swap. Each of you brings your collection, or selected parts that you really want to share. Take turns playing single songs for each other...lighting candles doesn't hurt ______________________ "I tell you: one must still have chaos in oneself to give birth to a dancing star. The aquarium is really nice if you're serious about him/her.. some of the best conversations ever go down in the aquarium. If you see it as more of a "playful" thing the ice skating rink is great |

LilRaverBoi wrote... -Candles....to set the mood for your ghetto-trash date LOL HAHAHA, but of course On dates I try to get really creative, sometimes even random stuff simply because neither of us have done it lol. And I still want to go sky diving or bungee jumping for a date one day. But definitely when I'm sure my date wouldn't wig the fuck out when I surprise her with it LOL. It's not cheap, but who the hell gets to say they jumped off a plane or a bridge on their last date? That's EPIC And movie night is one of the more fun/casual dates rather than going to the movies. Because instead of one movie it's 3-4 lol. There's not really any pressure, rush, or worry about going home or dropping anyone off. Pretty fun for a double date type thing. When that happens we bake those out-the-pack pilsbury cookies just because we're awesome like that lmao P.S. Someone please tell me how to close the quote boxes lol |

ukeyouee wrote... ok, can someone explain to me how to END a quoted section? I haven't figured it out yet..ha. After clicking the 'Quote' button, when redirected to the little text box to add your comments, click on the EMPTY SPACE BELOW THE QUOTE TEXT. If you simply click directly after the quote text (on the same line as it) and hit enter, you're gonna add your comments within the quote box. So click BELOW on the empty white space there. You don't have to hit enter or anything. And just as a little check to make sure you clicked in the right place...when you enter the Quote page, the 'left align' thing will be automatically selected. When you click in the correct spot to begin your comments, it will no longer be selected. This is the best way to ensure you're doing it correctly. Oh, and once you click in the right spot, don't hit delete. Once you delete the area to add your text outside the box, you can't get it back (at least I can't figure out how) so don't delete your opportunity. If you do accidentally delete it, click 'Cancel' and start over again by clicking 'Quote' on the person's post again. |

Movies are cool once in a while, but not like every weekend. Some of the things i would recommend are going to the drive-in movies, if there in your area. You would need a car of course, lol.....I would also recommend you both go out to the bookstore, checkout some books(or pretend to seem like your gonna buy it) and then go out for coffee/tea. You can also go bowling if there is an arena around, and like someone else said go ice skating. If there is like a comedy club, then you guys should check that out. Also plays/circus/theaters/shows are great places to go on dates. If theres a fair go to it. Also a date, doesnt have to consists of you two going out and going to somewhere impressive. As long as you two hit it off, regardless of where it is, then its a date. So even inviting her to go out and jog/run, bike, swim, etc can be a date. You can also go to the park, play some sports/frisbee and then just chill. Or can wait at night to see the stars on top of a hill or rooftop......Lol...these are alot of ideas but hey im pretty sure you can try out a few of these that can spark something cool...Good Luck.. |

OH! I forgot one of my favorites! Minigolfing! Batting cages are good too, or the driving range. And I tried to fix my last post, but I fail at quotes. I went on a date last night, that was great, and really cheap. I've never played golf before, so late last night my buddy and I snuck into our campus golf course and just shot into the lake, then laid on a dock under the stars. Completely free :] |
